Residency is not a passport
Visa rules follow the passport you travel on — not where you live. If you are an expat resident of the UAE or Saudi Arabia, check the row for your passport's nationality, not your country of residence.
Some destinations also run separate resident-based facilities (such as UAE-residence visa-on-arrival programmes). Those apply on top of passport rules and always carry their own conditions — confirm with the destination's official source before booking.
Visa questions, answered
How accurate is the information shown?
The information is indicative and based on the latest available data. Visa rules change frequently, so always confirm with the embassy or consulate of your destination before you travel.
What is the difference between an e-visa and a visa on arrival?
An e-visa is applied for online before travel and is usually approved within days. A visa on arrival is issued at the airport when you land, with no advance application.
Does the data cover all passport types?
The data shown is for ordinary (tourist) passports. Diplomatic and special passports may enjoy additional exemptions not listed here.
What do I need besides a visa?
Besides a visa, make sure your passport is valid (usually for at least 6 months), and be ready to show a return ticket, proof of accommodation and travel insurance where required. Some countries also ask for proof of sufficient funds.
